I bought the A8V MB as it was the only one recommended by AMD for the 4400+
processor that also had an AGP graphics slot (I didn't want to upgrade my
graphics card this time around) plus a lot of reviews said it was good (OK I
actually bought the A8V deluxe).
After I got the board I noticed a few posts in this group about random
reboots. Mine has started to do that and I was wondering if it was a
problem endemic to the board or if there was a solution.
The MS XP dump says that it was a hardware problem but nothing else. I have
noticed that the problem occurs mostly when I spin the wheel on my mouse
fast (MS wireless intellimouse).

Thanks

In the past that was usually a power supply that was spooky of
insufficient for the job. Maybe?

Are you running Asus Probe? If so check the log of the graphs for
temperature and the power rails. Is there a voltage drop or maybe
overheating is a problem.
Run a memory test! Does the PC blue screen at all? What are the memory
errors.
So many questions so few answers LOL.

There are usually only two things that will cause random reboots ...
bad/mismatched memory or a PSU going bad. Check your output voltage on the
PSU and check your RAM with Memtest.
