Hi everyone,
I built a system in Feb, Asus A8N SLI premium, athlon FX-57, XFX 7800 GTX, 2
GB OCZ DDR400. Recently I started having problems with installing drivers
and programs, All the asus utilities fail to install, saying there's no Asus
motherboard installed. Some drivers say it NT not supported <even though I
have XP pro>. I tried to flash the bios, and it said no Asus motherboard....
Is there a problem with my board's bios/chipset? Or do you think this is
windows based IE a corrupt registry? Has anyone else had these problems? I'm
thinking about RMAing the board..... Obviously it has to be corrected....
lol

i had this problem. did you upgrade your mobo, using the same winxp as you
had on the last system? I zero filled my hard drives and reinstalled, it
worked after that.

I figured that's what I was gonna have to try.... I've heard it takes
forever to RMA with Asus... and they just troubleshoot your board, and
replace any bad chips/circuits that they find, and send you the same board
back......
I think I'll just buy another HD and install windows on that.... I have too
much stuff on this one to reformat it. rofl
Thanks for the input though, saved me time
