hello there

what is pci-x , do asus mb's support that ? i want too build a
nas (network attached storage) device and all the controller cards i
see say pci-x or pci express ? will they work on a a7v266 or a A8v
motherboard??

i meant a A7N8x Motherboard not a7v266

PCI-X is not PCI-Express. PCI-X is backward compatible with PCI.

Workstation/server boards support PCI-X. Most all 2006 models support
PCI-Express.

hi i found what i needed , it was a server Mboard , with pci-x on it
